Bring Estate Planning Tools to Your Team
05 August 2020
Many of us know the worth of planning ahead. Whether it’s establishing a monthly budget or saving for retirement, we’re often nudged by colleagues or loved ones to stay on top of these priorities. Estate planning, though, is a little different — it’s something we might put off until later; a responsibility that may seem irrelevant or too overwhelming to take on.
At In Good Company, we want to address concerns and answer questions that cloud these important financial cornerstones — so that employees can be confident in securing the future they’ve worked hard to build. Our newest workshop, Protecting Your Family: Estate Planning, brings experience and interactive learning to your team so they can feel fully prepared.
About the Workshop
Estate planning is more than running through a checklist. It’s a complex series of conversations and decisions that involve many individuals within a person’s circle. Experienced financial professionals leading our workshops see how much effort goes into this process and want to share their knowledge through some of the lesser-known aspects: what to include in an estate plan, how to utilize helpful resources and who to involve in the process.
Developing a Plan
The first part of this workshop will explore the elements of an estate as participants put a plan to paper. This includes exercises on protecting your wealth and tools to use while drawing up documents. We’ll also take a look at how each employee’s unique values impact their process.
Throughout the workshop, we use strategies to strengthen communication with loved ones. A financial professional will get you started in examining your family tree and creating a family council to include in the planning process.
Who It’s Designed For
Whether your employees are in the middle of planning or just starting out, there’s something for everyone. Passing on financial confidence to the ones who matter most is at the core of this workshop, and our team assists with these most practical and personal aspects of estate planning. It’s an experience that all types of employees can benefit from.
Online or in-person, employees can take on estate planning from anywhere. Our remote offering extends interactive learning methods, breakout sessions and experienced guidance over Zoom, so that groups can dive into content and ask questions.
With some guidance, your employees can ensure everything they’ve worked so hard to accumulate is handled just as they intended.
If you’re interested in setting up a workshop for your employees or learning more about what In Good Company has to offer, get in touch with our team — we’d love to start a conversation.
